Global Traffic Equipment was originally founded in 2008 with the unique purpose to provide the Australian market with a real quality choice for state of the art Traffic Control and Advisory Equipment.
It was seen that the existing products on the market were well behind other industries in the fields of technology and technical ability and support, and so we set about to innovate and create a new range of ‘Best in Class’ products, and back it up with class leading service to match.
Our products are proudly built on the Gold Coast of Australia with a mandate to exceed the relevant Australian Standards on each product we manufacture. Quality is our number 1 priority, and we understand and appreciate that while there are cheaper products in the marketplace, it’s the Design, Quality and Support of our products will keep customers returning to us.
Global Traffic Equipment products are designed to perform from the ground up. Each product is computer designed and modelled in 3D to ensure correct fit, operation and finish. We attain repeatable quality by use of CNC machining of all sign components (meaning spare parts will fit 1st every time). Where available, we only use Australian steel and aluminium in our signs and trailers and our stringent quality control over all procedures and processes ensures the end user many trouble free hours of operation with absolute confidence.
In 2013, Global Traffic Equipment was recognised with ISO-9001:2006 accreditation for its management systems and through stringent testing of its equipment attained RMS Type approval for its Arrow boards. We strive to achieve RMS type approval (where available) on all of our products.
Global Traffic Equipment has developed a significant presence in the Australian market in the manufacture of its electronic Traffic Control and Advisory Equipment. The company manufactures a wide range of products including Arrowboards, Portable Traffic Lights (PTL), Variable Message Boards (VMS), Vehicle and Truck Mounted Advisory Signs and commercial LED signage.
